DESIGNER / PROJECT LEAD

&Daughters is seeking to hire a Designer / Project lead to join our team in producing and executing residential and commercial projects.

The successful applicant will bring enthusiasm, discipline, technical knowledge and strong communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient in AutoCad, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Apple iOs, Numbers and Pages
• 3+ years experience in Architecture and Interior Design (House Design, Retail and Hospitality Design)
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques, detailing and project coordination skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to self-manage multiple projects
• Ability to conduct yourself professionally
• Ability to evaluate and communicate workload
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability accept constructive critique and instruction
• Ability to take responsibility for project milestones and communicate with clients
• Preferred: Experience communicating with regional municipalities and understanding of the permit process

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interpret project briefs and conceptual design to create drawings, 3D models, renderings, presentations and specifications
• Create comprehensive drawings packages, including coordination sets, tender sets and final construction documents
• Understand project procurement process and adhere to budgets
• Communicate and coordinate with project consultants, as required
• Conduct field review, provide site instructions and site visits, as required

SCHEDULE:

Full-time, Monday – Friday

Must live in, or relocate to Vancouver, BC CANADA

SALARY:

Commensurate with experience
